We've recently published an applications note in collaboration with Dr Heather Yates from the University of Salford.  The XPS study of copper-based biocidal film characterises a thin coating combining anti-microbial copper oxides and photocatalytic titania on metal and glass which were deposited by an open environment chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process.  The lateral and depth distribution of the copper within the CVD-grown copper-titania composite thin film is presented.  We also show that copper at the surface of the coating is presenta as Cu(II), assumed to be CuO.
